It was cold dark and wet ( reminded me of the English channel) It was a rough and stormy night, we had waves 21ft plus, and didn't get much better by morning. Once in the harbor, it calmed down, but stayed gray and rainy all day till about 6pm. ( last picture)
Were staying till 11pm and in hopes of the seas calming down to get to the next port, and ill report on that tomorrow.
Todays excursion was along the storm cost ( yes its actually called that, and i know what now.) We followed the coastline to Pencarrow station farm, it was foggy, rainy and the waves were violent a good 10-12ft in the harbor. I couldn't see much out the widow on the sea side, but along the way on the land side, we seen lots of sheep, mountain goats, sea birds and a few dogs. Lots of plants that i didn't know anything about, but now do ( just don't ask me about them, because its still a scramble in my brain. It was a wild ride once we hit the gravel road and headed into the hills along the coast.
Once at the farm high on a bluff overlooking the cook straight ( we really couldn't see through the fog and rain) We were greeted by sheep and a bunch of sheep dogs, the farm is a wool farm, they had lots of wool things for sale ( i procured a nice wool vest) They also served high tea for us, with finger sandwiches and some nice sweet treats and well as savory treats., the had a lecture about the farm, by one of the workers and a meet and greet with a few dogs and sheep ( no shearing if the sheep as they were too wet.
The ride home was just as wild as the ride there, the guild talked a lot, a little too much maybe, but it was all interesting.
Let see what tomorrow brings!

The Storm coast, wellington New Zealand. Rain, lots of rain, and more rain with wind.
